- Recruitment Process -

Delta Sigma Pi has recruitment at the beginning of each semester. Our recruitment process consists of a combination of events that will enable our chapter to evaluate candidates according to their credentials and overall fit in Delta Sigma Pi. These events include, an Information Night, Meet the Chapter Nights, a Professional Interview, and a Social.

- Information Nights -

Info Nights give interested students an opportunity to learn more about Delta Sigma Pi. During this meeting we go over some background information about Delta Sigma Pi and the pledge process, followed by a slideshow, a speech by a Senior member, and then finish with further details about the recruitment process.

Each semester there are three information nights, however, you only need to go to one of the three. It is recommended that candidates attend one of the nights. This event should last about forty five minutes and are casual dress.

The Fall 2010 Info Nights are as followed:

Info Night #1: Tuesday, September 7, in Pearson 128 @ 7:00pm.

Info Night #2: Wednesday, September 8, in Pearson 128 @ 7:00pm.

Info Night #3: Thursday, September 9, in Pearson 128 @ 7:00pm.

- Meet the Chapter -

The week following the information nights are three Meet the Chapter nights. Attendance is strongly recommended at all three nights from 7pm-9pm. Meet the Chapter is the best opportunity for us to get to know you. This is our version of rush where you will talk to many active brothers on a one to one basis. Do not feel intimidated or nervous at all, you will see that Meet the Chapter consists of many informal conversations with active brothers. The more people you meet during Meet the Chapter the easier it is for us to get to know you and see if you are a good fit for Delta Sigma Pi.

Professional Dress is recommended, but not required. Do not feel the need to go out and buy a suit if you do not have one.

The Fall 2010 Meet the Chapter’s are as followed:

MTC #1: Tuesday, September 14, in FSB 1000 (Taylor’s Auditorium) from 7:00pm – 9:00pm.

MTC #2: Wednesday, September 15, in FSB 025 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm.

MTC #3: Thursday, September 16, in FSB 1000 (Taylor’s Auditorium) from 7:00pm – 9:00pm.

- Professional Interview -

On the first night of Meet the Chapter each candidate will sign up for a professional interview that will occur either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of that week. In order to be considered for membership into Delta Sigma Pi, you must attend a professional interview.

The interview gives us a chance to see you in more of a professional setting.  You must bring your filled out questionnaire to your interview, which is provided at the “Questionnaire” page under the “Recruitment” tab up above.  Be prepared to answer background questions about your filled out questionnaire and other typical interviewing questions.

Again, professional dress is recommended, but not required.

- Social -

The Social occurs on the Friday during the week of Meet the Chapters. At the social some snacks and drinks will be served. This is our opportunity to get to hang out with all the potential members. Dress is casual.

The Fall 2010 Social will be at Sky Box (located above Brick Street on Poplar and High Street) from 5:00-7:00pm.
