your pledge period

- purpose of pledging -

The pledge period is for the expressed purpose of providing you with an opportunity to become thoroughly acquainted with our Fraternity and our members, while we in turn learn more about you, and your qualifications for membership. Like any business, it is the goal of Delta Sigma Pi to gain the finest young men and women for positions in our organization.

Should you be chosen as a pledge, a written pledge education program should be given to you shortly after the pledging ceremony. This written program was developed by the Fraternity to clearly state what expectations are needed from students who wish to join the thousands of business professionals who are already members of Delta Sigma Pi.

The pledge program tries to duplicate the best of training programs in the business world. The professional courtesy and respect given to any new employee should be yours to experience. We have all heard of organizations that belittle their perspective members or who require prospective members to buy gifts for members as a requirement for membership. Delta Sigma Pi will not accept this type of treatment of its future members.

The pledge program is designed to answer your questions about fraternities and Delta Sigma Pi in particular. We urge you to make the most of it, as the more you know about Delta Sigma Pi and its place in the business world, the more you will appreciate the value of membership. We encourage you to reach beyond this site for other facts about Delta Sigma Pi. You will be rewarded for this effort through the increased pride you will have in your membership.
