| Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity, and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community. We are men and women of all creeds and colors engaged in the study of business--or related fields--who are preparing for a successful and rewarding career. Delta Sigma Pi provides its members with professional development, leadership opportunities, and support for scholastic achievement. Many Deltasigs are often cross-members in social fraternities and sororities, university sponsored clubs and sports, as well as other community organizations. Professional activities are the foundation of Delta Sigma Pi. During fall and mid-term breaks, the fraternity frequently travels to major metropolitan cities to expand the commercial experience of its brothers. Our travels have included trips to cities like Atlanta, Washington DC, Toronto, Chicago, and St. Louis to tour firms such as Coca-Cola, S.A.I.C., SEC, Leo Burnett/Starcom, the Chicago and Toronto Boards of Trade, Anheuser Busch, and many other exciting businesses. Further, Delta Sigma Pi provides for personal development through the speaker series, resume workshops, career fairs, conferences, and most importantly, the opportunity to make decisions in an executive position or on several empowered boards. Though professional activities are of paramount importance within Delta Sigma Pi, we strive to create well-rounded Brothers. Members participate in social events such as golf outings, tubing, canoeing, wine tasting, grab-a-dates, and theme parties. Each spring, we sponsor a formal dance for Brothers to attend. Beyond social events, Delta Sigma Pi emphasizes participation in both fundraising and service activities. While these events vary from year to year, past activities have included managing Battle of the Bands, T-shirt sales, discount card sales, and bake sales. Brothers have given their time to serve in soup kitchens, volunteer at senior citizen centers, and help with Crayons to Computers. All in all, we make every effort to provide our Brothers--our friends--with events that afford opportunities to gain valuable experience, have fun, and promote brotherhood. please, take some time to get to know us better...
